This section shows the design and interactive works that I have done for tablet and screen. It is the most significant portion of my work.
An extract of the more creative pages in the digital magazine.
The following are two unwrapped digital pages to showcase the vertical scroll-able pages in special layout design used in SilverKris tablet. The first page concept is based on scrolling from top of the image (sky) to the bottom (deep sea). There are animals living in different altitude zones on Galapagos. By clicking on the circles information about the animals will appear. The second page is enhanced by scrub feature. As the article talks about graphiti art in Hong Kong the interactive feature can bring fun as well as more images to the page. (the features do not work on example images below)
SilverKris tablet aims at telling the stories from print magazine in a more exciting and engaging manner. The design approach differs from that of print as there are more options to consider in the digital environment. Even with the same pictures, tablet edition can present a whole new or enhanced look after packing in other visual elements and effects. The following examples show the comparison between a print (Top) and digital (Bottom) page.
I designed these templates for pages that repeat from issue to issue. The objective was to make them exciting even when repeated with different content and easy to update every month.
Colorful icons were used in Mosaic Media House’s webpage and newsletters to convey its energetic and young spirit.
Being in a small startup environment meant I often had to take all art, design, and technical matters in my own hands. I conceptualized this onscreen promotional ad, shoot and design the posters on my own.
